It’s safe to say that this summer, Colour is the new Black!
The rise of colour reflects the celebration of personal style that dominates fashion now. With a spirit of experimentation and self-expression, reports suggest that colourblocking at the spring/summer 2022 shows was up 273% compared with the previous year!
Across U.S. and UK mass-market, green apparel online has grown 28%, while orange is up 15% and pink and yellow both up 5% Year after Year, says Kayla Marci - market analyst and expert at retail intelligence platform EDITED.
Tomato soup red is a trend that's been near impossible to miss, this bright shade is everywhere and it's quite the contrast to the pastels hues we associate with spring, however is not the only one making a trend, as in the 48 hours following Kim Kardashian’s appearance at Saturday Night Live, searches for pink rose grown 82% on the fashion search platform, Lyst.

Another platform, MATCHESFASHION, has also experienced an increase in consumers buying into bright pieces, with colour-pop styles up 45%.
